This course explores the innovative Micro PBL framework, a pedagogical approach that leverages Artificial Intelligence to create Micro Projects. Participants will discover how to integrate AI tools to develop design-thinking-based, engaging, and real-world-relevant learning experiences. The course outlines how AI can support each phase of a Micro Project—from ideation and problem framing to rapid prototyping and reflection—while keeping student creativity at the center.
Participants also examine key pedagogical and ethical considerations, including transparency, responsible use, and age-appropriate scaffolding. In the final section, the course provides practical examples, ready-to-use templates, and hands-on guidance for implementing Micro PBL in the classroom, enabling educators to bring flexible, meaningful, and future-oriented project work into everyday teaching.

- You will understand the fundamental role shift from content deliverer to a facilitator of learning missions.
- You will master the PBL Future Labs “Learning Mission” Seven Goals Framework to design authentic, meaningful learning missions.
- You will learn to craft compelling driving questions that connect curriculum goals with real-world challenges.
- You will develop skills for facilitating student-driven learning through design thinking processes.
- You will create portfolio-based assessment strategies that capture and document students’ learning journeys.
- You will implement AI tools to enhance mission design, support collaboration, and enrich student creativity.
I have been working for around 15 years in education, ranging from classroom teaching, EAL, higher ed, and sustainability to tech specialist roles, curriculum writing, and consulting across the world. Somehow, I landed in the world of AI and Project/Problem/Process Based Learning, and it's been a busy few years!
About 2.5 years ago, I transitioned from a PBL school to become a PBL x AI curriculum writer, consultant, and integration specialist. Since then, I've worked with over 6,000 teachers (Pre-K to Higher Ed), schools, leaders, and education innovators on practical approaches to instructional design with AI.
Current Role & Philosophy
As CEO and Co-Founder of PBL Future Labs, I partner with innovative schools and education leaders to create engaging, academic-aligned learning environments. My focus is integrating AI with Design Thinking, Project-Based Learning, and process-based student portfolios through AI stack workflows.
Some people call it "PBL 2.0".. I think it's just where things are going.

I have been fortunate to be part of projects and webinars with major organizations including TeachAI, Stanford University, ISTE & ASCD, The Circle India, Beaconhouse Group, CCS, and Fayetteville State University's Intelligent Systems Lab. My consulting work extends to schools such as Regent Business School, Choice Charter School, Windsor School, and many more in Australia, the US, India, and China.
In the EdTech space, I have consulted on projects with iCamp, Alphabest, Studyhall AI, Masterymate/Alayna, Solvably, and GoKaiba. My Pre-K to Middle School STEM lessons are currently used by thousands of students globally through iCamp/Alphabest, validating the richness of AI-Enhanced Learning Experiences.
Publications & Upcoming Ventures
My work appears in industry publications, including my book Transform Your Teaching With AI and contributions to The Next Word and Modern PBL. I also share ongoing strategies through my Substack newsletters, "AI For Beginners" and "AIxPBL."
Currently, I am launching an AI (IA) x Project Based Learning Innovation Centre in Querétaro, Mexico.
